Stitching Angels Finale: Allison and Scandinavian Birds II + Giveaway.

So, this is the first post of the wrap-up of the Stitching Angels Series.  Initially I was going to put all of these ladies work into one ginormous post, but then I thought ... you know what ... their work is so great, that I will post each one individually.  My post with my giveaway will be the last post of the day, but carefully read each post because many other of the angels are doing their own giveaways on their blogs too.  Pretty cool, huh?

Hello Split Stitch readers! It's Allison again from little lovelies and I am so excited to share my stitched up Scandinavian Birds II pattern with you! These little birds are so much fun to stitch up - they come along quickly and leave lots of room for customization. I chose to go simple, using only backstitching and french knots for the eyes. I love the back stitch as much as Sara loves the split stitch ;)

I stitched the birds onto dish towels. I hate the idea of putting so much work into embroidery that will just be stored away, so I decided to make something I could use!

This tall green bird is my favorite. I love it so much I stitched it twice :)

I also love this odd little bird. I love the little circle embellishment on the front and the lines on the tail.

Here's a few more close ups of Sara's lovely patterns:

As an extra little surprise, I have a small giveaway for you!

It''s a little embroidery starter set - a dishtowel, set of embroidery needles, a hoop, and some of my favorite colors of embroidery thread.

Yay! I hope you have enjoyed seeing Scandinavian Birds II stitched up. I can't wait to see what all the other ladies are up to - I love seeing everyone's embroidery work. Thanks to Sara for such a fun opportunity - I really have enjoyed helping out!

Isn't Allison's work just so lovely?  And the giveaway is so generous too!

  14. I really loved seeing the pictures of Allison's craft craft room. I don't allow myself so many focuses at once - right now is quilting and embroidery. Otherwise my mess gets too big and finding the bottom of it: impossible.
