| Apple Applique made using Farmdale fabric by Alexander Henry. |
Being from Michigan, and having so many apple orchards nearby, I have always loved apples ... eating them, drawing them, apple fabric, going to cider mills in the fall, etc. I figured this is a perfect time to start some apple crafting fun, because many of you are probably preparing to make teacher gifts ... am I right? And somehow, through the years, apples have become almost synonymous with elementary school, and especially elementary school teachers. I wonder how that occurred? I guess I have always assumed that students used to bring apples as gifts to their teachers, but I am not altogether sure about that. Hmm ... something to look into. But anyways, be on the look out for some apple fun, and apple craft ideas. I will probably be posting apple craft ideas up until around the first or second week of June, and then will add some more in the fall when the kids are back to school, and we are heading out to the orchards for some apple picking and hot cider!
Hugs, Sara :)

Yummy ideas for the apples---I am in the same boat as you:)

ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany! The apples pictured in this post are actually some applique that I made using the "Farmdale" Collection fabric by Alexander Henry. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! Do you have any scraps of that fabric leftover?? ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany! I will definitely be including some scraps of this fabric in my novelty fabric scrap packs that I will be listing in my Etsy shop soon .... but, did you know they carry this at JoAnn's now? Talk about a great coupon item! :)
