In My Stash: Fun Prints from JoAnn's!

Lately I am starting to appreciate JoAnn's fabric selection a little more.  I am sure you have all heard the buzz surrounding Denyse Schmidt's new fabric line that she designed exclusively for JoAnn's.  It is called "DS Quilts" and comes in 2 colorways ... "picnic" and "fairground".  Here are 6 of the 21 prints  from the collection:

I really love this collection ... I actually ended up getting some more prints, and am going to make this quilt with them.   I think these prints are $2.00 off/yard on sale right now too ... bonus!

Everyone I know seems to be having babies too, so I picked up this cute 2D Zoo fabric by Alexander Henry also available at JoAnn's along with some flannels and solids.  The polka dot print is from Hobby Lobby.

And here are 3 of the 4 Alexander Henry prints from the Farmdale collection that JoAnn's is now carrying as well that I am going to be using in some upcoming tutorials:

JoAnn's is starting to carry some neat stuff, huh?  I don't have a local quilting shop near me, so I have to buy all of my "designer" fabric online .... and it seems like shipping costs keep going up and up, so when I see beautiful fabric like this locally I get really excited ... can you tell?

What is in your stash?

Hugs, Sara :)

  1. I love love love the Farmdale collection. Thanks so much for showing it off. I'll have to see if I can make a trip to the not so local Jo-Ann store soon. That is destined to join my stash!

  2. Ooh, that's some pretty stuff. I do have some nice prints in my stash - I've got a gorgeous Indian-style print that I'm waiting for something special to use, and some pretty red and white strawberry print that came from my local market - my local market is good for prints. I also have a bunch of purple and green star print which is great for unisex new-baby stuff.
    I love quilting cottons!

  3. @ Louisa: I love it too! I am so glad that they have this colorway at JoAnn's too, because I really love the light teal print with the little flowers. :)

@ Hypothetical Woman: I love quilting cottons too, because there is just so much variety. Your strawberry print sounds so cute ... you will have to let me know what you make with it!

  4. As a long time JA's customer I have to say they've had some nice stuff for years. They just got a bad rap because they had some really cheap quality stuff too. I remember years ago (maybe 6 or 7) Tracy Porter had an exclusive line there and it was fantastic and really reasonable. The hand of the fabric was just so buttery soft, yum! I'm glad that you found some goodies at JA. I've stocked up on the Farmdale to make something cute for my daughter.

  5. I saw Farmdale at my local Joanns but had not seen the chickens! I must find them and may have to engage in a bit of Joanns tourism...
